ELLENDALE, DE—Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place last night in the area of New Hope Road in Ellendale, which resulted in one man being injured.
The incident occurred on August 13 at about 10:28 PM in the 18000 block of New Hope Road. According to the initial findings, an unidentified suspect in a dark-colored vehicle fired several rounds before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. State troopers at the scene collected numerous shell casings.
Subsequently, a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg sought treatment at a nearby hospital. He was transported there by private vehicle, treated for his injuries, and later released. As of now, there are no available suspect descriptions, and authorities are seeking surveillance footage to aid in the investigation.
