NEWARK, DE—Delaware State Police have successfully apprehended three individuals connected to a robbery that took place at Ulta Beauty in Newark on March 28.
The incident, which escalated from shoplifting to robbery, involved suspects Keevis Wilkerson, Nylaa White, and Secret Harris.
The confrontation began around 5:53 p.m. at the Ulta Beauty store located at 2130 Fashion Center Boulevard when two female suspects engaged an employee to open a locked display case.
After the case was opened, one suspect pushed and struck the employee in the face, resulting in minor injuries. The suspects then filled a bag with stolen goods and fled in a dark-colored Honda Accord, driven by an unidentified third suspect.
Delaware Probation and Parole and Troop 2 Robbery Detectives identified the suspects and issued felony warrants for their arrest. Wilkerson was apprehended during a traffic stop in Wilmington on April 9, 2024, without incident. He was subsequently charged with multiple felony offenses. White surrendered herself on June 18, 2024, at Troop 1, where she also faced multiple charges.
The pursuit for Secret Harris concluded on August 3, when Christiana Mall Security alerted a trooper about a shoplifting incident at Lululemon involving over $3,000 worth of clothing. Harris, who fled the scene in a black Tesla, was stopped by the police as she attempted to leave the mall parking lot.
During the stop, Harris initially provided a false identity but was ultimately identified and found to have multiple warrants out for her arrest in both Delaware and New Jersey. She was taken into custody and charged with multiple crimes at Troop 2.
This series of arrests marks a significant step in curbing retail theft and violent incidents in Newark retail locations.
