SALISBURY, MD – In response to the murder of a 10-year-old boy in Salisbury, Maryland, authorities have announced a reward of up to $22,000 for information leading to an arrest.
This reward is a collaborative effort involving the FBI, Maryland State Police (MSP), and Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore. Tipsters can contact the dedicated tip line at 410-453-8983 to provide any relevant information.
The Maryland State Police are actively searching for a suspect following the tragic incident that occurred on the night of August 5.
The young victim, whose identity is withheld, was fatally shot at a residence in the 200 block of Clay Street around 10:30 PM. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to Tidal Health Medical Center by emergency personnel, the child was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
At the scene, Salisbury Police Department officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. It is believed that the shooting took place inside the home where the child lived with his mother and two siblings. The MSP Homicide Unit is leading the ongoing investigation, with additional support from local police.
No suspect description has been provided as of now. Law enforcement continues to interview witnesses and residents in the vicinity, and forensic evidence from the scene has been sent to the State Police Forensic Sciences Division crime lab for further analysis.
