WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police have arrested two men for theft offenses at a CVS in the District.
On Friday, August 2, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the suspects entered a CVS in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast, stole property, and fled the scene. Responding officers apprehended them shortly afterward. Anthony Dickey, 26, and Avon Thompson, 29, with no fixed address, were arrested and charged with Theft Two.
Further investigation revealed additional charges against both men. Anthony Dickey faces multiple charges, including Felony Threats and several counts of Theft Two, related to incidents between May 2023 and July 2024 at various locations, including the Unit block of I Street, Southeast, and the 1100 block of 4th Street, Southwest.
Avon Thompson is also charged with multiple counts of Theft Two, with incidents occurring in July and August 2024 at the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast.
