PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia police are currently investigating a double shooting that occurred this morning in the 12th District. The victims, a 26-year-old male and a 17-year-old female, suffered gunshot wounds in the incident. The male was shot multiple times throughout his body.
Both individuals were transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Upon arrival, they were listed in stable condition.
The area where the shooting took place is being preserved as a crime scene. Police are actively collecting evidence to aid in their investigation.
The Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) has taken charge of the case. They are working diligently to understand the events that led to the shooting.
