CAMBRIDGE, MD — Cambridge Police Department officers responded to a suspicious vehicle report at a WaWa convenience store on July 18 at approximately 5:19 p.m. The vehicle was seen leaving the store and traveling down Rt 50.
After initial contact with complainants who overheard an occupant claiming to have a warrant, police relocated the vehicle at the Cambridge Inn on the 2800 block of Ocean Gateway. Rebecca Collins, a 35-year-old resident of Hurlock, MD, was identified in the vehicle.
Collins disclosed to the officers that she possessed paraphernalia related to controlled dangerous substances. Police recovered items, including suspected cocaine, smoking devices, and syringes. Although Collins did not have an active arrest warrant, she was served with a protection order from Virginia.
Collins was issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled substance, excluding cannabis, and was subsequently released.
