SOUTH HACKENSACK, NJ – Authorities in South Hackensack have issued a warning following a coyote sighting on Tuesday. The animal was spotted around 1:52 PM at the intersection of Dinallo Street and Hoffman Street.
The South Hackensack Police Department urges residents to exercise caution when outdoors, particularly those walking in the area of the sighting. The public is advised to keep small pets indoors or securely leashed.
Coyotes are protected animals under regulations set by the Department of Environmental Protection. Community members are reminded to remain vigilant and report any further sightings to the appropriate authorities.
