DIMOCK TOWNSHIP, SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new public water system is in the works in Susquehanna County after years of water contamination concerns.
Pennsylvania American Water says it has completed drilling for two test wells as potential drinking water sources in Dimock.
The project is funded by a 2022 plea agreement with Coterra Energy.
It will bring clean water to residents affected by past contamination.
The construction of a six-mile pipeline is set to begin this spring, with completion expected by the end of this year.
The new water system will meet all state drinking water standards.
