Kaleb Owens Fayette AL Obituary: Loving Memory of Kaleb Jade Owens
Kaleb Jade Owens, born on July 9, 2002, was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose light touched everyone who knew him. He was the cherished son of Randall and Dana Owens of Fayette and a devoted big brother to Kinley Owens.
Kaleb’s greatest accomplishment in life was his faith. He was baptized at 16 at Southside Baptist Church, proudly proclaiming his love for Jesus Christ. His faith was unwavering, and he lived each day with kindness, love, and a heart for others.
A proud member of the Fayette County High School Class of 2021, Kaleb was an exceptional athlete. He played wide receiver for the football team, excelled as a pitcher, catcher, and second baseman for the baseball team, and was a dedicated member of the bass fishing team. His talent extended beyond high school, as he played on numerous travel ball and All-Star teams from tee-ball onward. In 2017, he had the incredible opportunity to play for a USA baseball team in Cape Town, South Africa, an experience he cherished.
Beyond sports, Kaleb found joy in roping, riding four-wheelers, and listening to music—always turned up loud. With his smooth moves and undeniable charm, he had a way of capturing hearts effortlessly. His smile was genuine, his presence magnetic, and his eyes always held warmth for those closest to him.
Kaleb was known for his mischievous spirit and infectious love for life. A natural prankster, he brought endless laughter and fun to everyone around him. He never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went. To know Kaleb was to love him, and his absence leaves an unfillable void.
Kaleb is survived by his loving parents, Randall and Dana Owens; his sister, Kinley Beth Owens; his maternal grandparents, William A. “Bill” and Willie Mae Sims of Bankston; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mildred Owens of Fayette; his aunts and uncles, Rodney and Susan Ingle, Chad and Amber Sims, and Marcus and Cathy Owens; as well as his cousins, Haleigh Ingle, Zack Ingle, Alex Sims, Emma Kate Sims, and Caleb (Lindsey) Jackson.
