SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Police responded to a report of shots fired Saturday night in Scranton.
According to a release by Scranton Police Department, units responded to a report of shots fired on the 400 block of Clay Avenue.
Officers spoke with witnesses on-scene who said that they heard a single gunshot.
Preliminary investigation confirmed there was just a single shot fired with no reported injuries or damages, according to officers.
The University of Scranton is aware of the incident and notified students and parents.
The Scranton Police Department is investigating the incident, and they encourage anyone with information to call the department at 570 348-4134.
