NEW YORK, NY – An NYPD officer suffered injuries after being assaulted by an unidentified female in the Midtown South Precinct. The incident occurred in front of 700 8th Avenue, where the officer was responding to reports of a male motorist recklessly operating a two-wheeled vehicle.
During the intervention, an unidentified male and female approached the officers. The female suspect kicked one officer in the right leg, causing significant pain, swelling, and bruising.
After the assault, she fled the scene on foot, heading south on 8 Avenue. Emergency Medical Services treated the injured officer at the scene.
The female suspect is described as having a large build and light complexion, with long black hair. She was last observed wearing a white t-shirt, jean shorts, white sneakers, and carrying a black pocketbook.
