WOODBRIDGE, VA—A domestic dispute escalated into violence in Woodbridge, leading to the arrest of Mohamed Kameleddine Amara, 54. The incident occurred at a residence on Eden Lane at approximately 7:02 PM on July 28.
During the altercation, Amara reportedly struck a 56-year-old female family member and then proceeded to strangle her. When a 19-year-old male family member attempted to intervene, Amara allegedly grabbed his arm, further escalating the conflict.
Police responded to the scene and conducted an investigation, which resulted in Amara being charged with one count of strangulation and two counts of domestic assault and battery. He was arrested following the incident. Details regarding his court date and bond status remain pending. Minor injuries were reported among the involved parties.
