First Incident:
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at around 3:15 p.m., the suspect entered a business located at 29-24 Hoyt Avenue. After making a purchase and approaching the register, he brandished a firearm, demanding money. He successfully took $600 and fled eastbound on Hoyt Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this robbery.
Second Incident:
On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 10:31 a.m., the same individual targeted a commercial establishment at 2802 Broadway. He displayed a black firearm and demanded money from a 56-year-old male employee. The attempt was unsuccessful, and the suspect fled on foot eastbound on West 108 Street. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and medium build, last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a satin skull cap, khaki cargo shorts, an orange t-shirt, and sneakers that are black, yellow, and white. He also carried a camo-colored cross-body book bag.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding these incidents or the suspect’s identity to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
