Roanoke County, VA — The Roanoke County Police Department extends its gratitude to the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department for organizing a successful touch a truck event at Mount Pleasant Elementary.
The Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office contributed to the event by cooking hot dogs, and the police department provided chips and waters.
The event featured a variety of vehicles and offered an opportunity for the police to engage with the Mount Pleasant community, known for its strong Neighborhood Watch Group.
Residents of the Mount Pleasant area are encouraged to attend the monthly Neighborhood Watch meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month at 2909 Jae Valley Road. For more details, contact the crime prevention coordinator at crimeprevention@roanokecountyva.gov or 540-492-1341.
