Victor Guerrero TAMU Obituary;Victor Guerrero, Student at Texas A&M University Passed Away
Victor Guerrero came to Texas A&M University with a dream—to become an engineer. Growing up in Galveston, Texas, he developed a passion for learning, particularly in the field of material science and engineering.
His love for welding initially sparked his interest in the subject, and he dedicated himself to excelling in his studies. At the time of his passing, Victor was in his fourth semester at Texas A&M, actively working toward achieving his goals and making his family proud.
Victor’s passion for engineering was evident to everyone who knew him. He loved learning new things and sharing his knowledge with others. His mother, Maria Guerrero, spoke about his enthusiasm, recalling how he would often talk about his studies and the exciting things he learned at the university.
“He loves engineering because he has to do something with welding, and he used to love welding and all that stuff,” Maria said with the help of a translator. His natural curiosity and drive made him an excellent student and an inspiration to those around him.
Beyond academics, Victor was a devoted son, brother, and friend. He was known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and deep love for his family. His selfless nature was evident in everything he did, from the way he cared for his loved ones to the compassion he showed for those in need.
Even in his final moments, Victor demonstrated his generosity by choosing to donate his organs, giving the gift of life to others. His mother shared that this act of kindness is something their family cherishes most about him.
“Even on his last breath, he let them know that he wanted to donate his organs, and probably that’s what [his family] cherishes most about him,” Maria said. Victor had many interests that brought him joy outside of his studies.
According to his obituary, he loved indulging in his favorite foods, playing video games, running, climbing, and spending time with cats. He was known for his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the simple joys in life.
His ability to find happiness in the little things made him a beloved presence among his friends and family. His impact was profound, and those who knew him best continue to honor his memory.
The Memorial Oaks Chapel obituary described him as a remarkable individual whose short life left a lasting impression. “There are no words to describe the great human being that Victor, in his short life, proved to be,” the obituary reads.
His mother echoed this sentiment, reflecting on the lessons Victor continues to teach his family even after his passing. “Even after he passed away, he’s still teaching [the family] how to love and be kind to others … by donating his organs and the love that he showed to his siblings and to them,” Maria said.
Victor’s story is one of love, perseverance, and generosity. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the knowledge he shared, and the selfless decisions he made. While his time on earth was far too short, his influence will continue to inspire those who knew him.
His family, friends, and the Texas A&M community mourn his loss but take comfort in the incredible person he was and the impact he made. As his loved ones continue to celebrate his life, they find solace in the memories they shared with him and the values he instilled in them.
Victor Guerrero will always be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his passion for engineering, and his boundless love for those around him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
