Toms River, NJ – The controversial Toms River retail store “Let’s Go Brandon”, a favorite for Trump die-hards and local Republicans has a small problem. Joe Biden, referred to as “Brandon” after a NASCAR incident where the crowd was chanting ‘F— Joe Biden’ was reported as ‘Let’s Go Brandon’, the first name of the race car driver being interviewed on live television.
That sparked a Let’s Go Brandon craze, but after President Joe Biden announced he is not running for office, a change was made.
Let’s go Brenda was created for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Following Biden’s recent announcement that he will not seek reelection, local businesses specializing in “Let’s Go Brandon” merchandise report no decline in sales.
Originally a jab at President Biden, the slogan has evolved into “Let’s Go Brenda” with Vice President Kamala Harris emerging as the likely Democratic nominee for the upcoming November election.
“Sales for the Brandon shirts have tripled, but we’re now focusing on our ‘Let’s Go Brenda’ merchandise,” said Gregory Doner of Let’s Go Brandon in Toms River in an interview with the Star Ledger. “We receive daily calls from undecided voters, and we aim to guide them in our direction.”
Doner said sales in Trump themed merchandise is going strong.
