Local rapper G$ Lil Ronnie Obituary, Death; – A shooting incident at a car wash in North Texas on Monday resulted in the deaths of a 5-year-old girl and a 30-year-old man, identified as local rapper G$ Lil Ronnie.
According to police reports, two suspects opened fire on the victims shortly before 11 a.m. in Forest Hill, a suburb located approximately 30 miles west of Dallas. Despite officers administering life-saving measures, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident at Slappy’s Express Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects fled the scene in a white four-door Kia after approaching the victims’ vehicle. The Forest Hill Police Department described both suspects as Black males dressed in blue jeans and gray sweaters. One suspect has been identified and is currently the target of an active capital murder warrant, although the names of both suspects have not been disclosed.
A witness reported hearing approximately 20 to 30 gunshots, as reported by CBS News Texas. Authorities suspect that the shooting was premeditated. An investigation has been initiated, led by the Texas Rangers, with assistance from the Forest Hill Criminal Division, Fort Worth Police Department, Everman Police Department, Kennedale Police Department, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.
This incident marks the fourth and fifth homicides in Forest Hill this year, in stark contrast to none recorded in 2024, according to the police department. Friends and family have confirmed the identity of the deceased man as rapper Ronnie “Lil Ronnie” Smith, also known as G$ Lil Ronnie, as reported by local news outlets WFAA and CBS News Texas.
