PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia experienced a spate of violent incidents on Sunday, with police and emergency services responding to multiple scenes across the city.
The 19th District witnessed a shooting on the highway at 3xx Graham Street around 3:38 AM. A 27-year-old black male suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was subsequently transported in stable condition to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center by a private vehicle. No arrests have been made, and no weapon was recovered. The Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) is handling the investigation.
A stabbing occurred in the 22nd District at 29th Street and York Street around 12:03 AM. A 48-year-old female was stabbed multiple times and was taken by Medic 25 to Temple Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition. The Central Detective Division (CDD) has not made any arrests, and no weapon has been found.
Lastly, in the 8th District at 10xxx Calera Road, an 18-year-old male was stabbed once in the left forearm at 11:20 PM. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by a private vehicle and is also in stable condition. The scene is being maintained, with no arrests or recovery of the weapon. The Northeast Detective Division (NEDD) is leading the investigation.
