ALBANY, NY – Albany Police are currently searching for a suspect involved in an early Sunday morning shooting that left two men injured. The incident occurred on Madison Avenue near Ontario Street.
Police were called to the 900 block of Madison Avenue around 3:20 AM after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered two men, aged 31 and 26, who had sustained gunshot wounds. The injuries, a gunshot wound to the leg for the 26-year-old and a gunshot wound to the hand for the 31-year-old, are not life-threatening.
The victims were at a large gathering when the shooting took place, according to preliminary investigations. Both injured men were transported to Albany Medical Center. Authorities are actively seeking information and have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
