BROOKLYN, NY—A tragic scene unfolded late Friday night within the 62nd Precinct when police and EMS units responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at an apartment located at 1590 West 8th Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 56-year-old female with multiple stab wounds to her neck.
She was found alongside three other deceased individuals—a 27-year-old female, a 5-year-old female, and a 4-year-old male.
The victims have been identified as Mavlyuda Fayzieva, Khakimova Maftuna, Shavkatova Kamila, and Shavkatov Timur, all residents of the address. The initial survivor, Fayzieva, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS alongside the other victims.
A 24-year-old male has been taken into custody in connection with the incident. The police are continuing their investigation into this devastating event. The community and local authorities are in shock as they try to piece together the circumstances that led to this violent act.
