MSNBC television host Joy Reid posted a video to social media casting doubt that former President Donald J. Trump was actually struck by a bullet. Reid said a piece of glass could have injured the president or ‘shrapnel’ instead of a bullet during a failed assassination attempt that killed a former Pennsylvania firefighter and wounded two others.
On Saturday, January 13th, Trump was shot through the ear by a single gunman, according to the U.S. Secret Service.
“We still don’t know for sure whether a bullet hit Donald Trump, whether glass fragments hit him, whether he was hit by shrapnel,” she said. “We don’t have those details. We have no details from his physician, even though this man is a secret service-protected presidential candidate. We know almost nothing, why?”
Reid, who has been a staunch antagonist against the former president for many years, attempted to cast doubt on the fact that he was shot, which has been confirmed by the U.S. Secret Service.
“We know that three people were shot,” she said, omitting Trump as a casualty. She also questioned why Trump was able to stand up and pump his fist during an active shooter investigation, saying he ‘posed’ for a photo.
She also questioned other media outlets for not wanting to confirm the shooting of the former president by accessing his medical records.
