CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) –Let’s play some ‘banana ball!’ The Savannah Bananas are bringing even more excitement to Charlotte this summer.
Due to overwhelming demand, the Charlotte Sports Foundation and Tepper Sports & Entertainment announced a second ‘banana ball’ game will happen on Friday, June 6, at Bank of America Stadium, just one day before the originally scheduled game on Saturday, June 7.
Organizers said adding this extra game ensures that more fans will be able to experience the high-energy spectacle ‘banana ball,’ which has taken the sports world by storm.
The decision to add the second game was driven by the enthusiastic response from fans and a unique scheduling opportunity that allowed for the expansion of the event, organizers said.
“The excitement we have seen around the Savannah Bananas playing in Charlotte demonstrates the power of Banana Ball and the passion of their fans,” Danny Morrison, executive director of CSF said in a statement released on Thursday. “We are thrilled to welcome the Bananas and Party Animals to the Queen City for a second night!”
Tickets for both games will be made available via a lottery system to fans who have already signed up on the Banana Ball Lottery List.
