WASHINGTON, DC — A fatal shooting in Southeast D.C. has resulted in one man’s death and another hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of the shooting in the 4000 block of South Capitol Street on Monday night.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two men shot inside a residence; one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to a hospital. Details regarding the deceased have not been released as the investigation continues. Authorities are actively seeking the shooter or shooters, though they have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
