Eric Scott Andrews Obituary, Death; – The Des Moines Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance following a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the tragic death of 46-year-old Eric Scott Andrews late on Saturday night in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Officers and the Des Moines Fire Department responded to the 900 block of Hull Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders found Andrews with critical injuries. Despite their lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as stated in a press release.
Witnesses have informed the police that Andrews was hit by at least two vehicles traveling on Hull Avenue. Authorities have confirmed that neither of the vehicles involved stopped or has been identified thus far. In an update provided on Wednesday, along with the release of Andrews’ identity, officials stated that investigators are continuing to review surveillance footage in an effort to identify the two vehicles.
