LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.

Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, March 28, to Sunday, March 30, 2025.

    NYVPW Art Gallery Experience

This week is the 2025 National Youth Violence Prevention Week, and, in Louisville, the week will conclude with the NYVPW Art Gallery Experience.

On Friday, March 28, the art gallery experience will give attendees a chance to support youth and their creativity through a “visual celebration of resilience, hope, and the collective effort to prevent youth violence.”

The “Forward Together” themed art exhibition features pieces by young artists in Louisville that are using their art to advocate for positive change in the community.

The gallery will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Roots 101 African American Museum. For more information, click here.

Music Without Borders: Jazz meets Orchestra

The Louisville Orchestra’s free concert series will bring live music to neighborhoods in the city from Thursday, March 27, through Saturday, March 29.

Music Without Borders: Jazz Meets Orchestra will take place at The Jeffersonian, Neighborhood House and Americana Community Center with each concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The genre-blending program is led by conductor David Baker with Ansyn Banks Jazz Ensemble. The concert “highlights the deep connections between classical music and jazz.”

You can RSVP for free online.

KFC Yum! Center annual family movie night

A free, annual tradition for all ages is returning to the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday, March 30.

There will be a screening of the classic movie Shrek with a photo booth, face painting, balloon artists and photo opportunities with Shrek and Fiona.

The event is free for all ages as doors open at noon and the movie begins at 1 p.m.

Guests can purchase snacks from KFC Yum! Center concessions as outside food and drinks aren’t permitted.
