It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Randi Mae Shoalmire, who departed this world far too soon on June 3, 2025, at just 16 years old. A cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Randi’s presence brought immeasurable warmth and joy to all who were blessed to know her.

Born and raised in Converse, Louisiana, Randi Mae was a spirited and compassionate young woman who radiated kindness wherever she went. Known for her bright smile, quick wit, and gentle soul, she had the unique ability to lift others up even in their darkest moments. Whether it was through a small act of kindness, a heartfelt laugh, or a thoughtful word, Randi made the world around her a better, lighter place.

Randi was not only a beloved family member but also a student with promise, dreams, and a heart full of generosity. She found joy in the simple things—spending time with her siblings, bonding with her nieces and nephews, and enjoying quiet evenings with those she held dear. Her empathy and emotional intelligence made her a confidant to many and a bright light in her community.

She is survived by her loving parents, Nick and Mary Shoalmire, whose hearts are broken but filled with the honor of having raised such a beautiful soul. She also leaves behind devoted siblings, grandparents, a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom adored Randi and will forever cherish the precious memories they shared with her.

As the community of Converse mourns the loss of such a vibrant young life, we invite all who knew Randi to come together in remembrance, in prayer, and in celebration of her life. Plans are underway for a memorial service where loved ones can gather to reflect on the beautiful legacy Randi leaves behind — a legacy of love, light, and laughter that cannot be dimmed, even in death.

In the days ahead, the Shoalmire family asks for continued support and compassion. Every word of comfort, every shared memory, and every prayer means more than words can express. Though Randi’s time on Earth was short, her impact was lasting, and her memory will forever live in the hearts of all who loved her.

    Rest peacefully, Randi Mae.
Your light lives on in all of us.
