SNELLVILLE, Ga. — A peaceful Saturday evening at Briscoe Park turned tragic when gunfire erupted shortly before 9:00 p.m., leaving four teenagers wounded.
Police say the victims, all juveniles ranging in age from 14 to 17 years old, were found with gunshot wounds when officers arrived at the scene. All four were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been made public.
The shooting has sent shockwaves through the Snellville community, as families and residents grapple with the disturbing violence involving young people in a public space often filled with children and families.
Law enforcement officials responded quickly to the scene following reports of a shooting. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Scene Unit is currently processing evidence, while Snellville Police Department (SPD) investigators actively follow up on leads to determine who is responsible.
Authorities have not released information regarding suspects or a possible motive, and no arrests have been made as of now.
