Derek Anderson Indiana Death – A tragic accident claimed the life of Derek T. Anderson, a 35-year-old man from Bourbon, Indiana, on April 30, 2025.
The fatal crash occurred around 8:10 a.m. on County Road 300 West, approximately half a mile north of CR 1350 North.
Authorities reported that Anderson was driving southbound when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed the center line, left the roadway, and struck both a signpost and a guardrail. The impact caused his Toyota Prius to overturn, coming to rest on its roof in a water-filled ditch.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly, but Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner. The Kosciusko County Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lutheran EMS, Milford police and fire departments, Nappanee Police Department, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Crouse Wrecker Service, and Kosciusko County Dive Rescue.
