The community is mourning the loss of Paul Corbett, 57, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident early Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025, on Route 51 in Perry Township, Fayette County.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 5:23 a.m. when Corbett’s motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck. Authorities believe that Corbett, who was traveling northbound, crossed into the southbound lanes, leading to the fatal collision.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Lauren Bilski. The driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital; their condition has not been disclosed.
The accident prompted the closure of all lanes on Route 51 between Old Route 51 and Blue Top Road as emergency responders from Perry Township, Perryopolis, and state police conducted their investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities are seeking any witnesses to come forward.
