It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jodi Archibald-Moss, a beloved friend, unwavering volunteer, and passionate supporter of Community Roof Sit for Kids. Her departure leaves a deep void not only in our organization but in the wider community she served so selflessly.
For years, Jodi was the face of compassion and commitment at Roof Sit. Her presence at the donation tent became a fixture of the event—dependable, warm, and always ready to lend a hand. If you ever drove up to donate, there’s a good chance it was Jodi who greeted you with a radiant smile, a kind word, and a heartfelt thank you. Her ability to make every donor feel seen and appreciated was one of her many gifts.
But Jodi’s involvement went far beyond handing out flyers or collecting donations. She was a cornerstone of our mission, always the first to volunteer, never one to shy away from the hard work. Whether rain or shine, she showed up. Her dedication was not performative—it was deeply rooted in her belief that every child deserves to be safe, heard, and cared for. She championed that belief with tireless energy and unwavering love.
Jodi’s spirit shone brightly in every aspect of her life. Her kindness was genuine, her enthusiasm contagious, and her presence reassuring. To know her was to know warmth. She had a way of making people feel welcome, needed, and empowered to give back. Her laughter, her stories, and her deep empathy left an imprint on everyone she met.
Community Roof Sit for Kids is more than an event—it’s a movement fueled by love and driven by people like Jodi. Her legacy will live on in the children whose lives have been changed, in the volunteers she inspired, and in every person she touched with her grace and grit.
As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived. Jodi’s light was a gift to us all, and though she is no longer with us in person, her spirit will continue to guide our efforts, lift our hearts, and remind us of the power of community.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Jodi’s family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing her. We will miss her deeply, but we will carry her memory forward with every act of kindness, every dollar raised, and every child protected.
