A pedestrian was hit and killed on Interstate 65 near hospital curve early Friday morning.
According to LMPD spokesman John Bradley, the accident was reported around 4:45 a.m.
All southbound lanes of I-65 are currently closed south of Jefferson Street and drivers are encouraged to find another route for their morning commute.
A LENSAlert reported it a “serious accident” in a text message sent out.
Bradley said the roadway is not expected to open before 7:30 a.m.
