Chicago Sky power forward Angel Reese on April 11 paid $1.275 million for a newly built, four-bedroom, 3,600-square-foot house in southwest suburban Lemont.
A Maryland native, Reese, who turns 23 on May 6, played college basketball for the University of Maryland and Louisiana State University, which she led to its first national championship. She was drafted last year by the Sky, and became a WNBA All-Star in her first year.
In Lemont, Reese purchased the house through a recently formed limited liability company. Her new house has 3 ½ bathrooms, a first-floor study, a media room, a three-car garage and a lookout basement, all on a 0.41-acre property. The house had been on the market since January 2024, when it first was listed for $1.325 million. Its asking price later was reduced to $1.275 million.
On social media this week, Reese posted that she “knocked off 2 BIG things off my vision board in the first 4 months of the new year,” in purchasing her home and in earning enough money so that her mother, also named Angel, could retire.
Real estate agent Justin Penn, who represented Reese in her purchase, declined to comment. Her sports agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, could not be reached for comment.
