Madalyn Samonig, Jaxon Dy, Hudson Day, Emmerson Day, and the Unknown Adult Male: A Heartbreaking Loss in Rock County
On April 10, 2025, a tragic accident in Rock County, Wisconsin, claimed the life of 26-year-old Madalyn M. Samonig, a beloved mother of four from Orfordville. The collision occurred near the intersection of West Skinner Road and South Worry Road in the Town of Avon. Samonig’s vehicle was traveling eastbound when it reportedly veered off the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The car struck a tree with significant force, and Samonig was pronounced dead at the scene.
Accompanying Samonig in the vehicle were four passengers: one adult male and three children—Jaxon Dy, Hudson Day, and Emmerson Day. All sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. While the extent of their injuries has not been publicly disclosed, officials confirmed that the passengers were alert when first responders arrived. Their names have not been released, partly to protect the identities of the minors involved.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office has stated that no foul play is suspected, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
