Authorities have identified a man who died following a shooting that injured multiple people last month in Tampa.
The Tampa Police Department confirmed that Jessie Dorce succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. One other victim remains hospitalized in stable condition, while two others have since been released.
The incident occurred on February 18, shortly before 12:40 p.m., when officers received reports of gunfire in the 2600 block of E 28th Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered three injured individuals, with a fourth victim later identified as being connected to the shooting.
All four victims, men in their late 20s and early 30s, were transported to the hospital. Dorce did not survive, while the others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe the shooting was targeted, and authorities have stated that there is no continued threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
