A 44-year-old man has tragically died after being stabbed at the Parkside Commons apartment complex in Syracuse. Drarton S. Harris Sr. was fatally injured in the early hours of Tuesday morning, around 4:19 a.m.
Harris was visiting friends at the complex located at 2005 East Fayette Street when an argument reportedly broke out, which escalated into the fatal stabbing. His son, Drarton C. Harris, explained that his father still had friends at the complex, where they had previously lived together.
The altercation, possibly sparked by a disagreement over cigarettes, led to Harris’ tragic death. Multiple people called 911 to report the stabbing, which occurred in a hallway of the building. Authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
