Tatiana Casap,Donald Mayer Obituary, Death; – A teenager from Waukesha has been charged with felony offenses for operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and for the theft of movable property, following a welfare check conducted at a residence in Waukesha. This welfare check resulted in the tragic discovery of his parents, Tatiana Casap and Donald Mayer, who were found deceased in their home. Tatiana and Donald were identified as the mother and stepfather of 17-year-old Nikita Casap.
The investigation commenced on February 28, when deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence on Cider Hills Drive to perform a welfare check. The request for this check was made by Donald Mayer’s mother, who resides in Massachusetts, due to concerns raised by Waukesha West High School regarding her grandson’s extended absence from classes. Prosecutors noted that he had not attended school for two weeks.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies discovered the bodies of Casap and Mayer in separate rooms of the residence, both covered with blankets and clothing. Court documents reveal that the mother was found with a potential exit wound near her right shoulder, while the stepfather had a visible wound to the back of his head.
The complaint further indicates that the welfare check was initiated by Mayer’s mother after several weeks of no communication with her son, coupled with receiving “suspicious or weird text messages” that she believed were sent by him on February 23. Mayer’s sister last communicated with him on February 18, during which he expressed feeling unwell and mentioned taking a break from social media.
Data from Flock cameras indicated that Donald Mayer’s 2018 Volkswagen Atlas was last recorded on February 23, while Tatiana Casap’s vehicle was last seen on February 11. Upon entering the residence, deputies noted that Casap’s vehicle was present, but Mayer’s Volkswagen Atlas was missing.
A neighbor reported observing Mayer’s Volkswagen Atlas being driven by Nikita Casap alone on February 23. Additionally, another neighbor remarked that the family’s small black dog had not been seen in some time. Cellphone data indicated that both Donald Mayer’s and Nikita Casap’s phones were located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
