SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — A Pine City woman is facing numerous felony charges for allegedly raping an unconscious pregnant woman in Sayre at the beginning of 2024.
Ashley Hamm, 36, was arrested by members of the Bradford County Drug Task Force on March 4 after a multiple-month-long investigation into her reported involvement in the alleged sexual assault of a pregnant woman. According to an affidavit filed by the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, Hamm and Sean Hall, 45, drugged and assaulted a woman who was six months pregnant at the time at Hall’s home in Sayre on Jan. 13, 2024. Hall was arrested on more than 500 charges in November for allegedly sexually assaulting this woman and 16 others. Authorities say detectives found video and audio evidence of the sexual assault Hamm was involved in while investigating Hall.

The affidavit states that Hall began talking to the woman through Facebook Messenger in November 2023 using a fake profile with a feminine name. In January 2024, Hall reportedly told the woman, who was living in a shelter at the time, that she could stay with him for a couple of nights. The woman allegedly agreed under the assumption Hall was the woman represented by the fictitious profile. During the exchange, the woman said she was six months pregnant, not interested in drinking or partying, and not interested in a sexual relationship.
According to the document, Hall told Hamm via text that he was talking to the woman through a fake profile. The pair reportedly arranged for an Uber to take the woman from Elmira to Sayre late on the night of Jan. 12, and Hamm picked her up from a parking lot. Hamm was said to have brought the woman to Hall’s home after 2 a.m. on Jan. 13, and they waited in a shed until a juvenile who lived inside the house fell asleep.
Authorities say Hamm drugged the woman with Ambien without her knowledge while they were waiting in the shed, and she eventually became unconscious inside the house. Two videos authorities found on Hall’s phone in April reportedly showed Hamm and Hall sexually assaulting the unconscious woman with an object. Authorities also reportedly found a separate audio recording of the alleged assault on Hall’s phone.
Hamm’s charges were read in court on March 4, and her preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11. Hall is being held at the Bradford County Correctional Facility without bail while awaiting trial for numerous charges.
