(PINPOINT WEATHER) — PINPOINT WEATHER ALERT Wednesday!
As a strong storm system moves in from the west, widespread heavy rain and a line of gusty storms will move through the area on Wednesday. The most active weather will be in the morning, from roughly 6am – 10am. The line crosses the region from west to east, entering the mountains first, and Richmond & Chesterfield counties later in the morning.

Stay weather aware and have a way to get any warnings in the morning! Damaging wind gusts is the main threat, but hail and a brief tornado can’t be ruled out as well. The Pinpoint Weather Team will be tracking LIVE — tune into Queen City News Now from 4am to 10am.
Most of the rain and storms will be done by lunchtime. However, the wind will still be whipping. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire area through 7pm Wednesday.

Thursday is still breezy with highs back in the cooler 50s. Temperatures gradually warm up again through Saturday, but another system could bring more showers by Sunday.
Tonight: Dry early, rain and storms moving in around daybreak. Lows near 60.
Wednesday: Rain and strong storms early. Spotty PM showers possible and windy. High 70.
