DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Geisinger Cancer Center in Dickson City held a wall dedication on Wednesday.
They had employees and community partners sign a segment of a wall that will be used in their new facility.
A doctor there says the facility will bring more comprehensive cancer services, including radiation oncology, for the first time from Geisinger in Lackawanna County.
“It’s going to be an amazing building. And ultimately, we’re gonna be here, ready to take care of patients when they need us,” said Geisinger Cancer Institute Chair Dr. Rajiv Panikkar.
They plan to see their first patient in June of this year.
