LOYALSOCK TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Investigators have arrested and charged a man who was involved in a shooting outside of TGI Friday’s.
Ja’hsir Kahseem Legare, the accused shooter in a deadly shooting outside of TGI Friday’s in Williamsport in March 2024, was arraigned in court Wednesday afternoon.
Legare has been charged with the following:
- Criminal homicide
- Aggravated assault
- Carrying a firearm without a license
- Possession of a firearm without a license
- Possession of an instrument of crime
- Possession of a weapon
- Recklessly endangering another person,
- Criminal mischief
- Criminal use of a communication facility
On March 2, 2024, state police were called to East Third Street in Loyalsock Township in the parking lot of TGI Fridays. Police say 15-year-old Ahmeen Palmer of Williamsport was shot and later died on his way to the hospital.
State Police have also charged Legare’s mother, Johneice Legare, 37, of Williamsport, who was taken into custody on hindering apprehension charges.
