WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An alleged burglar is facing charges after police say he walked into an unlocked home and assaulted another man while he was sleeping.
On February 27, around 6:30 a.m., Wilkes-Barre City Police were called to Academy Street for a report of a burglary in progress.
Police said the victim claimed a man, later identified as Adam Glaze, 34, of Wilkes-Barre, unlawfully got into his residence, entered his bedroom, and physically assaulted him while he was sleeping.
Officers stated that the victim’s roommates helped subdue Glaze until police arrived.
Investigators were told that one roommate left the door unlocked while leaving for work, allowing Glaze to walk inside without permission.
Glaze has been charged with burglary, trespassing, simple assault, and harassment.
