MARSHALLS CREEK, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pocono Chamber of Commerce presented Monroe County Habitat for Humanity with a chunk of change on Wednesday.
Last fall, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity helped out at Pickle Me Poconos, a festival held in East Stroudsburg.
On Wednesday, the chamber paid it forward by presenting a check to Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $2,400, a percentage of the money raised at Pickle Me Poconos.
“Currently repairing 45 homes here in Monroe County and we also are rehabbing a home to put a struggling renter in over in Stroudsburg. So every little bit helps to keep these programs going, to have your neighbors stay in safe and decent homes,” said Monroe County Habitat for Humanity Executive Director and COO Scott Fabian.
