Calvin Ly-Bishop Obituary, Death; – The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot by police during an officer-involved incident on Wednesday in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Calvin Ly-Bishop, a 23-year-old resident of Bedford, succumbed to gunshot wounds to the chest, as reported by law enforcement, with the death classified as a homicide.
According to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, the events unfolded on Wednesday when police were summoned to a Planet Fitness located on Orchard View Drive in Londonderry due to reports of a gunshot. Upon arrival, officers found that no injuries had occurred and that the suspect had already exited the gym.
Authorities later located the suspect, identified as Ly-Bishop, nearby and initiated a traffic stop on Winding Pond Road. Initial police dispatch records indicate that Ly-Bishop was armed and confronted the officers. During this encounter, multiple gunshots were discharged, resulting in Ly-Bishop being struck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has stated that the names of the three officers who discharged their weapons will be released once interviews with all parties involved are concluded in the forthcoming days.
