Jonathan David Rober Obituary, Death; – A late-night head-on collision on Generals Highway resulted in the death of one individual and left two others requiring hospitalization. The incident took place shortly before midnight on February 20, 2025, when a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, traveling northwest near Knollwood Drive, crossed the center line and struck a 1997 Toyota 4Runner, as reported by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 47-year-old Jonathan David Rober from Crownsville, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old man also from Crownsville, did not sustain any injuries. However, two passengers in his vehicle, both 26-year-old women from Annapolis, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. One was transported to the University of Maryland Regional Medical Center, while the other was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Authorities have yet to ascertain the reason behind Rober’s vehicle veering into oncoming traffic. The department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is actively pursuing the investigation.
