HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report that five people were arrested after being accused of retail thefts at a Walmart in Luzerne County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to Walmart in Hazle Township for separate retail theft incidents from January into February.
On January 9 around 6:40 p.m., troopers said they were called to Walmart for a theft where two people, a 53-year-old man, and a 56-year-old woman stole $56.16 worth of food items.
Police say on February 12 around 5:00 p.m., a 59-year-old woman from Drums hid various food items worth $62.20 and passed all points of sale.
Then on February 13 troopers stated a 26-year-old woman from Freeland tried to steal $100 worth of candy and chocolate.
Lastly on February 18 state police say a 43-year-old woman from Staten Island under rang crotchet items with $46.96.
All five have been charged through the district court.
