(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Walmart Inc. confirmed Wednesday it’s closing its Charlotte office and eliminating some roles as the company says it ‘continues efforts to streamline the business.’
Walmart is requesting some office-based employees in Hoboken and employees within some of its smaller offices to relocate to work more closely with teams in Bentonville and Sunnyvale.
Through the company’s review process, Walmart says it eliminated some roles and plans to shutter its office in Charlotte.
Walmart said this move accelerates its overall plans with having more teams working together in person at its home office in Bentonville and new office space opening this year in Sunnyvale.
We have had discussions with those who are directly impacted and are working closely with all effected associates to help them navigate the path forward, including providing relocation support or severance.
