A family has paid tribute to Callin Lindsay, a devoted young Celtic fan who tragically passed away in his sleep at the age of 23. He was discovered in his bed at his home in Bo’Ness on Saturday, February 1.
His mother, Leeann Lindsay, described the family’s devastation at losing their “handsome boy,” who was known for his constant laughter and infectious smile.
Leeann, 39, from Camelon in Falkirk, shared with The Record: “Callin went to sleep and simply didn’t wake up. His girlfriend tried to revive him with CPR, but he was already gone. She did everything she could to save him, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.”
Remembering her son, she said: “Callin had a heart of gold and was well-loved by many. He always supported me as a single parent and had a special bond with his younger brother, Kaiden. Things weren’t always easy, but my boys were my world. Kaiden is heartbroken—his relationship with Callin was truly special.”
A passionate football fan, Callin regularly attended Celtic matches in his younger years and also followed Falkirk FC, frequently attending their games.
“He was always smiling, always playfully teasing those around him. He was a peacemaker and had so many friends,” Leeann added.
His uncle Billy also expressed his sorrow, describing Callin as a “special nephew.”
“The thought of never being able to spend time with Callin again is something I will struggle with for the rest of my life. The emptiness he has left in my heart is unlike anything I’ve ever felt—it’s truly broken me in two,” he said.
“I love you, wee man. You were a legend, and I feel privileged to have shared so many laughs and memories with you.”
