LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) — A Longview gymnastics instructor is accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
52-year-old Matthew Orban is charged with sexual assault of a minor. According to the indictment, the incident involving Orban occurred on or around March 1, 2016, when he “intentionally and knowingly caused the penetration of the sexual organ” of a child younger than 17 years old “by defendant’s finger.”

Orban reportedly turned himself into the Gregg County Jail on Dec. 12 and was released the same day on a $75,000 bond.
Matthew is co-founder of Faith Flip alongside Nicole Orban, whose mission is to reach and teach children in a “loving, caring environment.” The nonprofit is located in the Longview Mall where they provide tumbling and trampoline instruction while teaching life lessons through the Holy Bible.
“God has put on our heart to reach out to those that might not be able to afford a gymnastics lesson or get to hear the word of God,” Faith Flip’s website said.
Matthew has 19 years of coaching experience and said he desires to train a new generation of gymnasts who may not have the opportunity to participate in the sport as Faith Flip does not charge its clients.
Matthew will appear in the 188th district court on April 9 at 9 a.m. for a status hearing.
