The person who sadly died after being struck in the parking lot of Weis Market in Lewes on Thursday has been identified as Deborah Priddy, a 63-year-old Milton resident.
The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m., according to authorities, when a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling south in the parking lot at 17232 North Village Main Boulevard. The collision occurred when Priddy was crossing the lot right in front of the Jeep.
Priddy was taken to a hospital after the incident, where she passed away from her wounds. The 86-year-old Lewes resident who was driving the Jeep was unharmed. This incident’s inquiry is still in progress.
