CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police arrested two suspects in connection to two shooting incidents where more than 200 rounds of ammo were found at the scenes, officials say.
CMPD’s Crim Gun Suppression Team and Metro Division detectives worked to identify two suspects and the vehicles that were allegedly involved in the two shootings into occupied dwellings. After locating the first vehicle, detectives found shell casings and the crime lab matched them with the casing found at the two shootings.
Detectives located a second vehicle with two passengers. While performing a search of the vehicle, police found additional spent shell casings and narcotics.

Officers issued a search warrant on the previous location for the two passengers, Robert Mason, 19, and Karnell Lawrence, 24, along with three handguns and two rifles.
Mason and Lawrence were arrested on Jan. 3 and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
The CMPD Crime Lab confirmed that the additional shell casings matched the ones found at shooting scenes.
